As a lifetime resident of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, I appreciate the benefits of Youth Sports… TEAM WORK, SPORTSMANSHIP, ETC...
This last season I had the opportunity to coach the U-12 boys team to the “King of the Hill” championship and saw first hand the great benefits derived from participating in team sports. In an effort to assist the Peninsula Youth Sports Programs, Little League Baseball, AYSO Soccer, Softball and Football, I am proud to announce the Jason Buck Youth Sports Sponsorship Program.
As a Realtor with Coldwell Banker I have started this program which allows me to give back to the organizations that were a big part of my early childhood on the Peninsula. The Jason Buck Youth SSP will donate $500.00 of every transaction that is referred to me by parents participating in the various sports programs. Refer a friend to me and a donation will be made to the Youth sports program of your choice.

What is a CIPS?
A Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) is an individual who has proven their expertise in international real estate practice by completing CIPS program requirements. CIPS designees are from Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bermuda, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Korea, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore and the United States. Several hundred more are currently working toward the designation.
Consumers can benefit from the representation of real estate professionals who have earned the CIPS designation. NAR International administers the CIPS program and designation which focuses on ownership and transaction principles of international real estate, including specifics on real estate markets in Europe, the Americas and the Asia/Pacific region. Topics covered in the CIPS classes also include cultural diversity, market data, investment trends, marketing strategies, currency issues and financing.
NAR studies show that CIPS designees tend to be highly experienced both in real estate and in dealing with clients from diverse cultures. For example, 85 percent of CIPS designees have been working in real estate more than 10 years; 35 percent have more than 20 years experience. Over 30 percent of CIPS designees were either born outside the US or are now based outside the US. CIPS designees are increasingly relied upon by local community and business organizations — including Chambers of Commerce and boards of REALTORS® — as international business resources.
In its 52 years of existence FIABCI the International Real Estate Federation, has built an enviable reputation as the authentic voice of international real estate. Multi-disciplinary and truly international it has no political axe to grind and represents the interests of no one country. Because of this and its concern with generating business opportunities for its worldwide membership, its opinions are sought by international bodies like the UN and regional bodies like the EU, NAFTA and MERCOSUR.
Truly International
FIABCI is truly international, owing allegiance to no single country or national body, only to its members. In this respect it is completely democratic. Senior office in the Federation is held according to ability and willingness to contribute.
Multi-Disciplinary
FIABCI is not only international but multi-disciplinary. Anyone involved in real estate can belong whether they are brokers, counsellors, lawyers, appraisers, financiers, architects, developers, contractors or investors.
Fifty Country Membership
There are 50 FIABCI Chapters throughout the world and new ones are regularly being formed. Currently there are also around 100 professional associations in membership. Called Principal Members by FIABCI, they have a total membership approaching 1.5 million practitioners.
The UN and Habitat
FIABCI has special status at the United Nations where it is recognised as the voice of the private sector when matters of real estate are considered. In co-operation with the UN, the Federation has done major work in pursuing its policy of property ownership for all in third world countries. The UN link has also seen FIABCI closely involved with the Habitat movement, where FIABCI was the first to highlight the value of public/private partnerships.
All Real Estate Sectors Represented
All real estate sectors are represented in FIABCI. Residential, office, commercial, leisure, agricultural, retail and industrial plus their various sub-divisions are included.
Multi-Lingual, Multi-Cultural FIABCI
FIABCI is multi lingual and multi cultural and operates in five official languages: English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese.
International and Regional Events
High point of the FIABCI year is the World Congress. Held annually in May/June at a different national venue, this year it is the turn of Houston, Texas (USA) for the 2004 congress. There are also regional events which nevertheless attract a FIABCI audience from all parts of the world.
