I was last in Costa Rica from Jan 15-Jan 29th and drove from Golfito at the southern border through Dominical, Quepos and Jaco, before going up to Puntareanas and taking the ferry over to Tambor. After checking the surf in Mal Pais, the client I was escorting and myself drove through Samara to Nosara and then up through Playa Negra to Tamarindo. I had the great opportunity of staying at Reserva Conchal as we welcomed the groundbreaking of Azulera in Brasilitto.

A recent real estate conference called Panama Spectacular brought me to Panama for the first time in 2003 and I was throughly impressed.  The Panama Canal has connected the Atlantic and Pacific oceans saving the shipping industry a costly trip around South America.  There are over 40 ships waiting to cross the canal 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  Panama City is also an International Banking hub and the country is welcoming visitors and investment and will surely be growing in the years to come.  Another great fact is there is no property tax for the next ten years, somthing to capitalize on.
